Problem:

Dental visits were limited to emergency visits only per state rules, but patient visits are down significantly below normal numbers and Smiles over Somerville worries once businesses are allowed to open patients will be too scared to return to get the care they need.

Proposed solutions: 

The team proposed a strategic roadmap for engagement with current and new patients that includes:

  • Phased patient outreach per patient group as the state reopens
  • Marketing to attract new patients
  • Launching virtual consultations

By launching effective communication with patients and blending traditional and teledentistry, the office can optimize the phased reopening and shorten the time between requests and appointments.
