1st Place in School - Spring 2020
University of Virginia - Darden School of Business
Problem:
Event cancellations and reduced capacity to social distancing meant short term revenue dropped and one of the normally busiest seasons would be negligible for revenue this year.
Proposed solutions:
Develop additional products into a service that solves both short term and long term dining and personal event needs, and porpoise via an app and diverse channels.
- Use the Root’s Model to deliver high volume of lunchtime meals to strategic institutions
- Package pantry items and ready to bake items into a comprehensive dinner program
- Turn event expertise to create a to go experience dinner that includes ‘more than the meal’ for an at home or out of the house event
By capitalizing on their current client bases while developing new customer segments, Harvest Moon can capitalize on a longer lifecycle for its customers.
